CSA Owner/Operator Training
Who you allow to lease on to your company can be as serious as life or death if you contract with an unsafe Owner Operator. At the very least, an untrained contracted carrier can do serious damage to your company’s safety performance score by accumulating roadside inspection violations. Make sure the Owner Operator you hire has had instruction on how to operate and maintain his truck safely, and that he fully understands how his operating behaviors will affect your company as well as his own driving record. By contracting with Owner Operators who have completed our CSA Owner/Operator Training program, you can be sure you are hiring a professional who has demonstrated he is knowledgeable in safety basics and is committed to applying his knowledge to protecting your safety record.
Our CSA Owner Operator Training program includes:
- 13 web based videos that can be accessed 24/7 from any computer with internet. Each video is 5 to 15 minutes in length and contains a knowledge test that must be successfully completed. Video content covers a FMCSA CSA program overview as well as drilling into each of the 7 behavior basics. In addition, our video training covers topics like:
- DISQUALIFIED DRIVER
- INOPERATIVE TURN SIGNAL
- INOPERATIVE TAIL LAMP
- SMOKING WITHIN 25 FT OF HM VEHICLE
- FAILURE TO REPORT TRAFFIC CONVICTION
- MORE THAN 11 HOURS
- IMPROPER LOADING OF CARGO
- FAILURE TO RETAIN 7 DAYS LOGS
- DRIVER ILL or FATIGUED
- POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL

- E-Classroom training that involves a 1 hour or more, scheduled, appointment where the Owner Operators and one of our CSA Specialists will meet in a web-based meeting format. The agenda of this meeting is to cover any new updates in the CSA program, focused concentration on any customized training material, review the video training, and answer questions.
- With successfully completing each video and participation in the E-Classroom, a final exam will be administered. Upon successfully completing the final exam, the Owner Operator will receive a Certificate of CSA Training and be entered into our database of CSA Training Graduates.
